Simon Hood

Simon is a corporate executive with a diverse and deep knowledge across a broad range of agribusiness production sectors and intimate knowledge of commodity supply chains.  He has worked for several leading agribusiness companies in Australia including Rabobank, Fonterra, Elders, Namoi Cotton and Michell Wool.  Additionally, Simon founded a specialist commodity risk management consultancy that serviced the agribusiness corporate market including bodies such as AWI and MLA.  A Master of Commerce (UNSW) complements a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics (USYD) to ensure a rigorous approach to research, data analysis and policy formulation.  Having grown up on a sheep and cattle property in south east NSW he maintains a passion for the primary production sector.
